The entire process of two new franchises will be completed by May this year. ” He said that, "Once the teams are decided, they can start their operations, which can take a lot of time."

BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly has also indicated several times that 10 teams will be seen playing in the next season of IPL. To consider this, a meeting of the IPL Governing Council was also held on 13 March, in which Jai Shah also took part.
